(Updated on 3/17/2012) Fruityloops 2 and Yamaha DJX
(FLStudio) (Here are some non-djx loops for Fruity Loops 2 that you may enjoy HERE) Fruityloops allows you to make awesome beats using DJX drum sounds. It allows you to use any drum sound you want, save it to a midi file, and then load it into your sequencer. You can find out more information about Fruityloops
at their web site. You can also find information about
the DJX drum banks by looking in your DJX-1 Manual on
pages 108 to 110 or your DJX-2 Manual on pages 84 to
86. Fruityloops does have several drawbacks when compared to a sequencer like Cakewalk or Cubase. For instance you can only have drums on CH10. Setting Up and Getting Started 1.) Make sure your DJX and computer midi interface
are properly connected 2.) Select your sound card interface in fruity loops
(AWE64 MIDI IN on Mine) 3.) Click on the sample section and move to MIDI tab. 4.) Find the Drum kit you want in the manual (Appendix
section) of your DJX manual. 5.) Select the voice you want (the little numbers)
6.) Do this for every drum you want. (In the case of
a Non-drum instrument you need only one channel. 7.) Get started. 8.) If you have additional questions, please consult the Fruityloops website.
