On a rainy midday, the clouds started to burst, releasing the whirling and rotating sun which, as it appeared, came so close that the wet clothes of the witnesses dried.

ＵＦＯ　ｉｎ　Ｆａｔｉｍａ １９５１年11月18日、バチカン新聞”LｴOsservatore Romano”は１９１７年に記者によって撮られた２枚の写真を公表した。新聞によると、我々が再版し、厳密に真正とされる２枚の写真は、その極度に早い回転と、それ自身がほとんど水平線の近くの位置のため黒いスポット（点）に見える、写真が撮られたのが昼間の１２：３０であったことから太陽ならばあり得ない位置である。 On November 18, 1951, the Vatican newspaper "LｴOsservatore Romano" published two photos, taken by a witness in 1917. The paper wrote: "The two photographs, which we reproduced, and whose origin is rigorously authentic, show the black spot on the sun produced by its extremely rapid rotation, and by the position of the sun itself almost at the limit of the horizon, a position absolutely impossible at the hour the photographs were taken, that is, exactly at 12:30 pm."
