Bulletin board ideas for the classroom - snowmanT out several construction-paper snowmen and hats. Program each snowman with an uppercase letter and each hat with a lowercase letter to match. Decorate the snowmen as desired; then mount them on a wintry bulletin-board background. Store all the hats in a plastic bag. Have a child remove the hats from the bag and match each hat to a snowman. For this bulletin board cut sponges into narrow rectangular shapes. Have each child sponge-paint a menorah or other candle shapes onto white construction paper. When the paint is dry, glue on scrunched-up tissue-paper flames. Mount each picture on a slightly larger sheet of colorful construction paper; then arrange the pictures on a board with a border and a caption. On a piece of white construction paper, have each child draw a picture of a gift he'd like to give to a loved one. (Point out that some of the best gifts can't be bought, such as a hug, or a kind deed.) Next give each child a colorful sheet of construction paper. Have the kids glue strips of paper or real ribbon and bows on the sheet to make it look like a package. Add a gift tag before stapling the gift on top of the drawing (stapling the top edge only). Display the gifts on a board that has been decorated with Christmas tree made from hand tracings. Visually divide a bulletin board into sections using one-inch ribbon. Place a numeral cutout in each of the sections. Illustrate the numeral in each section using real or child-made holiday items such as ornaments, candy canes, dreidels, bells, holly leaves, and candles. Cut out the letters traced onto holiday wrapping paper f |
