Midi Connections: Inputs The midi inputs on Yamaha DJX-1 and DJX2 are similar. Both can receive midi information from other midi devices such as a computer, sequencer, or keyboard. This also means that you can control the DJX keyboards from other devices like another keyboard or sequencer, this is an important tool for those using the DJX keyboards for multimedia presentations or live multi midi device performances. You will need a midi adapter if you plan to use it with your computer. Otherwise you will simply need midi cables to go from on instrument to the other. Plug the midi cable into the midi input port of the DJX and the other end of the cable to the output port of the other midi device.
