Midi Connections: DJX-1 Foot Switch (Trigger)
The foot switch on the DJX-1 can be used for several different
purposes.
First you can use it as an assignable trigger. Similar to
how you can assign
the different knobs and ribbon controller to provide different
functions on the DJX-1.
By using your foot to control these various features, you
are able to free up your hands
for other purposes. See the table below for the functions
that can be assigned and
trigger from the foot switch. (Note: you will have to buy
a foot switch. There are
several kinds of foot switches available. The cheapest one
sold by Yamaha cost
about $20.00. It is basically an on off switch. You can
by others which are more
like a dimmer switch and allow you to vary the pressure
of the pedel and therefore
vary the effect sensitivity.)
